Fewer foreclosures in Whatcom County

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Fewer people are facing foreclosure in Whatcom County.

The mortgage delinquency rate dropped again in November.

The percentage of local mortgages more than 90 days delinquent was at 3.19 in November, a four year low.

CoreLogic reports the county delinquency rate remains lower than state and national figures.

In the meantime, the percentage of Whatcom County loans in some stage of foreclosure was 1.12 in November.

That’s also lower than state and national numbers.
