BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A graduation celebration in Deming was interrupted with a gunshot.

The Whatcom County Sheriff’s office says the handgun fired during a fight as one teen pistol-whipped another.

The teens were partying Saturday night at a North Fork Road gravel pit.

No one was shot, but the teen who was pistol-whipped had a cut on his head.

Deputies are now searching for the armed teen.

His name hasn’t been released.
