Huskies open up series vs. Stanford with 6-1 win

The Washington Husky baseball team just keeps rolling. The Dawgs picked up their 20th win in the last 22 games with a 6-to-1 victory over Stanford Friday night at Husky Ballpark.

Jared Fisher picked up the victory to improve to 3-and-3 on the year. He went six innings, giving up 0 runs while striking out 5 batters.

The Huskies (23-6-1) had 10 hits on the night. Braden Bishop and Robert Pehl combined to go 3-for-6 at the plate with 4 RBI’s. Washington 2nd baseman Andrew Ely went hitless, snapping his 19-game hit streak.

The two teams play game two of the 3-game series Saturday at Husky Ballpark with a 6:05pm scheduled first pitch.
