The Angels will counter with right-hander Jared Weaver on the mound. Weaver went 11-and-8 with a 3.27 ERA last season for the Halos.

Tonight’s game marks 2 big beginnings for Seattle. Robinson Cano will make his Mariners debut at second base. Cano signed a 10-year 240 million dollar deal during the off season. Tonight’s match-up also marks the start of Lloyd McClendon’s Mariners managerial career. He is the 16th full-time skipper for the club.

The Mariners completed Spring Training with an 18-12-3 record, the 3rd-best winning percentage in the Cactus League.
