Shuksan Middle School goes on lockdown during warrant arrest

Shuksan Middle School was on lockdown for a time today.

The Bellingham Police Department asked the school to keep kids inside and everyone else out while they arrested a man on an outstanding warrant on Alderwood Avenue.

The SWAT team was present in case Vincent Russell got out of hand, but he ended up surrendering peacefully.

A police spokesman says Russell has a history of erratic behavior.
