Whatcom County Health Department wins honor

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – An honor for the Whatcom County Health Department.

The National Association of County and City Health Officials named it the Local Health Department of the Year.

The department was chosen as the winner for the medium category: health departments serving populations from 50,000 to 499,000 people.

The department was recognized for its work to end homelessness for local veterans.
