Two Whatcom County men were arrested this week to face felony charges of animal cruelty

Robert Carr, 42, and  Seth Haynes, 19, both admitted to several acts of bestiality.

Laura Clark, executive director of the Whatcom County Humane Society, says they seized several animals from Carr this month: six horses, five dogs and 25 cats.

She says many of them exhibit signs of trauma and abuse.

Several animal cruelty cases involving human-animal sex have been prosecuted in Whatcom county in recent years.

Sex with animals has been a class-c felony in Washington since 2006.
