NEW YORK (AP) — They’re New York’s bravest — and some of the hottest, too. The new FDNY calendar is out and for the first time ever, a female firefighter appears in the charity fundraiser of hard bodies.

She’s Danae Mines of Engine Company 6 in the South Bronx. Mines is the new Miss March.

She signed calendars in Times Square yesterday and is one of only 41 female firefighters in the New York department.

The Calendar of Heroes celebrates the 150th anniversary of the fire department.

The calendar sells for about $16 with the proceeds going to the FDNY Foundation.
