Heat blasts Lakers, picks up sixth consecutive win

Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade each scored 23 points as the Miami Heat picked up their sixth consecutive win, 101-95 over the Lakers in Los Angeles on Christmas.

Bosh also had 11 rebounds in the Heat’s fifth consecutive victory against the Lakers on Christmas Day. LeBron James added 19 points and Ray Allen had 12.

Miami improved to 7-0 against the Western Conference this season with its 19th straight overall win against West opponents.

Nick Young scored 20 points for the Lakers, who were tied four times in the fourth quarter. Los Angeles was hurt by a poor shooting night in its third straight loss.

In other NBA news:

James Harden dropped in 28 points and Dwight Howard had a double-double of 15 points and 20 rebounds in Houston’s 111-98 win at San Antonio.

In the final game of the night, the Golden State Warriors beat the L.A. Clippers 105-103 behind David Lee’s 23 points.

The New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets were blown out at home yesterday. Kevin Durant poured in 29 points and Serge Ibaka added 24 as the Oklahoma City Thunder picked up their 11th victory in 12 games, crushing the Knicks 123-94.

Taj Gibson finished with 20 points and eight rebounds as the Chicago Bulls ripped the Nets
