The rocker was noticeably absent during Perry’s trip to Europe this month during which she attended the BRIT Awards in London solo.

News of the split comes just days after Perry sparked engagement rumors by sporting a large diamond ring on her left hand.

The “Roar” star previously said of her relationship with Mayer, “(It is) a rad, mature relationship… He’s just a fantastic partner. I’ve been a fan of his for such a long time. He’s got a brilliant, brilliant mind.”

The stars recently stepped up their romance by recording a duet, “Who You Love,” and performing together.
