CANTON, Ohio (AP) — The Pro Football Hall of Fame welcomed seven new members during induction ceremonies on Saturday. The honorees include former Tampa Bay linebacker Derek Brooks, ex-Giants pass-rushing great Michael Strahan and former Bills pass-catching star Andre Reed. Joining them were offensive tackle Walter Jones, defensive back Aeneas Williams, punter Ray Guy and defensive end Claude Humphrey.

The induction ended a 28-year wait for Humphrey, who split 13 NFL seasons between the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles. The 70-year-old was a six-time Pro Bowl selection, and set the Falcons franchise record with 94 1/2 sacks. Guy became the first full-time punter to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. At 64, he was selected for induction in his 23rd year of eligibility.

One of the night’s biggest ovations was reserved for previous Hall inductee Jim Kelly, who was strong enough to attend while he recuperates from chemotherapy and radiation treatments for sinus cancer.
