KURT COBAIN: The 1.5-story Aberdeen bungalow went on the market in September, the same month as the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's final studio album. The home, last assessed at less than $67,000, is being listed for $500,000, but the family would also be happy entering into a partnership with anyone who wants to turn it into a museum. The Aberdeen, Wash. home in which Kurt Cobain was raised was put on the market by his mother, Wendy O’Connor, last year. Wendy Cobain is reportedly currently in talks with a self-described Nirvana “superfan,” who hopes to use a crowd-funding site to raise the $500,000 necessary to buy the home and turn it into a Kurt Cobain museum.
