The Rolling Stones have booked their first ever show in Israel.

The rockers recently axed a tour of Australia and New Zealand following the death of Sir Mick Jagger’s fashion designer girlfriend L’Wren Scott.

The band have now bounced back by adding a number of new shows to the upcoming European tour including dates in Norway and Portugal in May, Switzerland and Denmark in June, as well as a huge gig in Tel Aviv, Israel on June 4.

The promoter behind the Israel show, Shuki Weiss, confirmed the news on Tuesday and hailed The Rolling Stones visit as a huge step forward.

Weiss tells the Times of Israel, “This is a historic moment. It’s a huge honor to bring the Rolling Stones to Israel, an honor for the country, the citizens, and mostly for the fans who have waited for this moment… This is emotional, even for me, and I’ve been doing this a long time.”
