“The Avengers” star Tom Hiddleston is set to take on country music legend Hank Williams in an upcoming biopic.

The British actor will play Williams in “I Saw The Light,” a film based on author Colin Escott’s book, “Hank Williams: The Biography,” according to Deadline.com.

The movie will chronicle Williams’ meteoric rise to fame and his untimely death at the age of 29.

Hiddleston is expected to take on the singer’s classics including “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” and “Hey Good Lookin'” in the film.

“Children of Men” filmmaker Marc Abraham is set to direct “I Saw The Light,” which will begin shooting this autumn in Louisiana.
