R&B star Usher has jetted to Panama to visit his troubled protege Justin Bieber.

Bieber made headlines last week when he was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida on suspicion of driving under the influence after cops allegedly spotted him drag racing in a residential street. He was also charged with resisting arrest without violence and driving without a valid license.

The arrest became big news, and after he was released on bail, Bieber fled the U.S. by jetting to Panama.

He has since been seen relaxing on a beach with a group of friends, including model Chantel Jeffries, who was pictured with the singer shortly before his arrest, and now his manager, Scooter Braun, and former mentor, Usher, have joined him.

Both Usher and Braun have been pictured at the luxury resort where Bieber and his entourage are staying.

Usher is credited with helping Bieber in the early days of his career, and has previously defended the 19-year-old’s bad boy behavior, saying, “Many other celebrities are (the) product of it (child stardom) and some come out bad and some come out good. I am hoping for the best. I don’t look at as a negative though. I look at it as a teenager. He’s a teenager having to live his life in front of a camera.”
