BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A former nurse wanted in California for elder abuse is in Whatcom County Jail.

The U.S. Marshal’s Office confirms that Russell Torralba is at Whatcom County jail awaiting extradition to San Diego.

The U.S. Marshal got a tip earlier this month that Torralba was in Canada working without a license and they had Vancouver authorities arrest him and extradite him to the U.S.

San Diego 6 News reports that video footage shows Torralba and another male nurse abusing a bed-ridden 98-year-old stroke patient on multiple occasions in 2011.
