BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- A Bellingham man was arrested Sunday after leaving feces on four occasions inside the Bellis Fair Mall.
Bellingham Police spokesman Mark Young says the investigation started after human feces were discovered on July 8th in the hallway near the exit close to Target and the Whatcom Educational Credit Union.
“So that’s the location that this particular individual chose to leave his… deposits,” he said.
Young says feces were found again on August 12th and 28th, and on September 9th.
He says surveillance video led police to identify the defecator as 63-year-old Bob Weatherby of Bellingham.
Officers arrested Weatherby at his home and booked him into Whatcom County Jail Sunday afternoon on four counts of indecent exposure.
