OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Washington’s controversial gay marriage initiative continues to make its way through the legislature. The bill passed out of the House Judiciary Committee yesterday by a 7-5 vote. That clears the way for a vote on the house floor that could happen as soon as today. Opponents of the measure have pledged to challenge it via referendum. Representative Vincent Buys of Lynden says he thinks the measure should be brought before the voters… Should the bill win final passage, it will go to Governor Gregoire, who's expected to sign it.
