Adam Levine launches record label, signs Matthew Morrison
Rocker Adam Levine is helping to turn Matthew Morrison into a pop superstar by signing the "Glee" singer/actor to his new record label.
The Maroon 5 frontman announced the launch of 222 Records on Thursday and "Moves Like Jagger" hitmaker is already aiming for the top of the charts with his first artist.
Levine says, "Starting my own label has been a long-time goal of mine and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening."
"I am excited for everyone to hear Matthew's forthcoming album. Great things are in store for him with this release."
And Morrison is equally as excited to work with the Grammy winner.
Morrison adds, "I am excited to be working on my next album with such an incredible singer, writer and producer as Adam Levine. Adam and I share the same vision as we begin working on my record together."
The "Glee" star has already tasted success with the release of his debut album in 2011. The project featured duets with Sting and Elton John.
