Machete Attack in Whatcom County

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. -- A Whatcom County man is in custody for allegedly threatening a bicyclist with a machete.

Sheriff’s Sergeant Kvin Moyes says officers were called to the 7900 block of Apache Drive Sunday afternoon, following a confrontation between a driver and a bicyclist.

He says the cyclist was being followed by a pair of dogs.

The driver allegedly remarked that there’s a leash law in Whatcom County.

The bicyclist reportedly asked what was meant by the comment...

Moyes says the driver got back into his vehicle and drove toward the victim, who rode his bicycle into a ditch to avoid being hit.
