SEATTLE, Wash. (Metro) -- A group called "Working Washington" sends about 150 people to protest an Amazon.com shareholders meeting at the Seattle Art Museum.
Organizers say yesterday's demonstration was in protest of Amazon's tax policies, labor practices, and warehouse conditions.
A loud cheer went up from the crowd after it was learned the company is cancelling its membership with the American Legislative Exchange Council, which protestors call "anti-union".
Police were positioned at the museum, but there were no disturbances during the protest.
