WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. -- The team from Barron Heating won first place for the second year in a row at this year's Ski to Sea race, after running neck-and-neck with team Aeromech throughout the day Sunday.
In the final leg of the relay, the kayaker from Barron Heating pulled ahead and crossed the finish line just seconds before the second-place competitor.
KGMI talked with the kayaker for the Barron Team - Zsolt Szadovszki from Hawaii - during our full coverage of the race.
Windy weather conditions shortened the kayak leg of the race.
