EVERETT, Wash. (Metro) -- A predicted gas price spike over the Memorial Day weekend is turning out to be much ado about nothing. GasBuddy.com reported last Wednesday that prices could rise by up to 35 cents a gallon by Sunday, citing tight supplies. As it turned out, most areas saw a rise of about four cents a gallon. Drivers in Everett are paying an average of 4-30 a gallon today. Nationally, unleaded averages three-65 a gallon. Copyright © 2012 Metro Networks Inc.
