Lynden Native Aids Victim In Seattle Shooting

SEATTLE, Wash. -- A Lynden native rushed to the aid of a victim in last week's deadly shootings in Seattle.

Jo Ann Stremler, who now lives in Seattle, says she was in her car when she saw Ian Stawicki shoot Gloria Leonidas before taking her SUV.

Stremler says she "had no hesitation" to help.

Stremler called 911, then she held the victim's hand and talked to her as she lay dying, while another woman tried CPR.

This after Stawicki shot and killed four people at a cafe in north Seattle.

Stremler says the killer looked very agitated as he fled the scene.

After the carjacking, police said Stawicki shot and killed himself when they cornered him in west Seattle.

Stremler says she's been asked by Leonidas' family to attend her memorial service.
