Justin Timberlake takes marine as his date to awards show

Justin Timberlake made Corporal Kelsey De Santis' dream come true for a second time on Saturday after taking the U.S. marine as his date to the Guys Choice Awards, almost seven months after he escorted her to a Marine Corps ball.

De Santis invited Timberlake to be her date for the Instructor Battalion party in Virginia via a video post on YouTube.com last July. He accepted and joined her at the bash in November, later admitting that the event was "one of the most moving evenings" he had ever experienced."

The singer-turned-actor decided to return the favor by asking De Santis to accompany him to the Spike TV ceremony in Los Angeles this weekend, when he was honored as Entertainer of the Year and presented with the Troops' Choice prize.

Accepting the latter award, Timberlake said, "It's amazing actually to be standing on stage with these American heroes. As some of you know I'm usually a wisea**, but in all seriousness, I can tell you receiving this award from our troops is seriously one of the greatest honours that I or any American could receive."

And the SexyBack hitmaker, who is engaged to wed actress Jessica Biel, definitely had De Santis' vote.

She tells Eonline.com, "He's a genuine person. There's no doubt in my mind (he deserves this award)."

Actress Emma Stone won the Hot & Funny Award, while basketball star Kobe Bryant was named Best Baller.

The event also saw Will Ferrell reunite with Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson to see their classic comedy Old School inducted into the Guy Movie Hall of Fame.

The Guys Choice Awards will be broadcast in the U.S. next Saturday.
