GREENBANK, Wash. (Metro) -- A 61-year-old Greenbank man makes his first appearance this afternoon in Island County Superior Court in connection with the murder of his wife.
Island County Sheriff's Office spokesman Ed Wallace tells ww.komonews.com that Robert Baker was arrested Saturday after the body of his 53-year-old wife Kathie Baker was found wrapped in a tarp behind their Greenbank home.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the woman had died several days earlier after being beaten and strangled.
