BOW, Wash. (Metro) -- Golden Glen Creamery of Bow is voluntarily recalling a flavored cheddar cheese after a sample tested positive for a potentially fatal disease-causing bacteria.
Goskagit.com reports that about 124 lbs. of the red pepper with onion & garlic cheddar, sold between March 1 and June 7 of this year, was pulled after a sample tested positive for Listeria.
The product was sold in one-third to one-half-pound packages, with labels that read "Medium Cheddar - Red Pepper with Onion & Garlic," and "Natural handcrafted cheese produced by the Jensen ladies," with the code "887."
Consumers are urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
