The Edge is mourning the loss of his mother, Gwenda Evans. Gwenda, who was reported to be in her late 70s, passed away on Monday following a short illness.
A private funeral is expected to be held this week with all of the members of U2 in attendance.
In addition to The Edge, whose real name is David, she's survived by her husband Garvin, children Jill and Richard, and several grandchildren.
