WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. -- Whatcom County's real estate market may be seeing the start of a turn-around. Bellingham-area realtor Mike Kent says the inventory of homes for sale in Whatcom County was down last month. He says the county currently has just over a seven month supply of homes for sale. Kent says a six month supply of homes marks the tipping point from a buyers market to a sellers market. He says fewer homes are arriving on the market, and inventories are down compared to the same time last year. A report by Coldwell Banker Bain published in the Bellingham Herald shows the county had 1,258 homes in May, down 9.2 percent from a year ago.
