CHICAGO, Ill. (Metro) -- Boeing's successful chief of Commercial Airplanes will soon call it a career.
Sixty-two-year-old engineer Jim Albaugh announced he will retire October 1 after 37 years with the company, but his replacement has already taken the reins.
He is 57-year-old Ray Conner, who started his career at Boeing as an aircraft mechanic 34 years ago and rose to become the company's top salesman.
Conner's replacement as head of Boeing Sales, Marketing and Commercial Aviation Services will be named later.
