OLYMPIA, Wash.  (Metro)  -- When it comes to on-time performance, Washington's Ferry System is apparently one of the most reliable in the world. 

System officials say on-time performance in this year's first quarter was just over 98 percent, up about one percent from last year. 

A ferry is considered on time when it sets sail within ten minutes of its scheduled departure time. 

Also, missed trips are down by more than half so far this year.
