Tacoma Teacher Accused Of Having Sex With Student

TACOMA, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Authorities say a teacher at a Tacoma middle school has been arrested after being accused of having sex with a student.

Prosecutors say Keshia Shaw, a teacher at Gray Middle School, allegedly had sex on numerous occasions with the student, starting when he was in her sixth-grade class.

Officials say the student, who's now 17 years old, told his mother of the encounters, leading to an investigation.

Shaw was placed on leave in May and faces five counts of child rape.
