Deadline Approaches For WA Primary Election Registration

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. -- The deadline to register to vote in Washington's primary election is less than a week away.

Whatcom County auditor Debbie Adelstein says next Monday is the last day current residents can register to vote for the August 7 primary election.

She says it's important to vote in the primary...

She says on-line registration is available through July 9 at www.vote.wa.gov.

After that, only new voter registrations can be made until July 30 in person at the Auditor's Office.

You must have a valid Washington drivers license or I.D. card to register online.

Voter registration forms are also available at local libraries and at the auditor's office in the Whatcom County Courthouse.

The forms must be postmarked no later that July 9th, or hand-delivered to the auditor's office no later than 4:30 p.m. Monday, in order to vote in the primary election.
