Motorcycle Crash Threatens One Life In Bellingham

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- A motorcyclist is fighting for his life after being thrown 60 ft. in a Bellingham crash.

Police Spokesman Mark Young says the man was rushed to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical center after the Iowa Street collision left him with life threatening injuries and closed down Iowa Street for nearly three hours for investigators.

The man’s name has not been released, but Young says his motorcycle struck a pickup truck turning into the King Nissan dealership late yesterday morning.

Witnesses tell police the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed – likely over 60 mph.

Young says the truck’s driver won’t be charged.
