Rock legend Slash has cemented his legacy after receiving the 2,473rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The guitarist unveiled his plaque in front of the Hard Rock Cafe on Hollywood Boulevard on Tuesday, making him the first member of Guns N' Roses ever to be honored on the historic pavement.
The musician's actor pal Charlie Sheen was on hand to pay tribute to the star and he used the ceremony to poke fun at the icon's former Guns N' Roses bandmate Axl Rose and his own past drug use as he stepped up to the podium to congratulate the axeman.
Sheen told the crowd, "It's quite fitting that Slash is getting a star on the very street Axl Rose will one day be sleeping on... This star is going to be stepped on more than the coke we did in the 80s."
Slash followed the honor ceremony with a private gig at the Hard Rock Cafe.
