A 28 year old Bellingham man died overnight following a motorcycle crash in Bellingham that threw him 60 feet.

Bellingham Police Spokesman Mark Young says that Christopher Whitbeck succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to Peace Health Saint Joseph Medical Center after the Iowa Street collision late yesterday morning.

Witnesses say it appears that Whitbeck's motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed, at least over 60 miles per hour, when it struck a truck turning into the King Nissan Dealership.
