WA State Patrol Says Secure Your Loads

WASHINGTON STATE -- In the midst of summer months Washington State Patrol is asking you to keep the roads safe and secure your loads.

Trooper Keith Leary says the State Patrol often sees collisions, even deaths caused by items flying out of trailers and pick-up trucks because drivers don’t secure them properly.

Trooper Leary says you can be seriously fined if you don’t fasten items to your truck or trailer tight enough.

While there are no specific laws as to how to tie up your loads, Trooper Leary says to use common sense and arrange your items accordingly.
