WASHINGTON D.C. (Metro) -- The Federal Aviation Administration wants to fine Boeing just over $13.5 million.
The "Puget Sound Business Journal" says this is over accusations that Boeing delayed repair instructions intended to keep nearly-empty aircraft fuel tanks from igniting.
This came out of the 1996 explosion that brought down a TWA plane.
Boeing says only that its new models have a flammability reduction system.
