SEDRO WOOLLEY, Wash. -- Four were injured in two separate accidents this weekend in the North Cascade National Park. On Friday a 29-year-old man and woman were injured by falling snow in a basin below Luna Creek. North Cascade National Park Search and Rescue responded, evacuating the two by helicopter. The man was taken to a local hospital and the woman was released. Saturday two were injured after a member of a seven member hiking party inadvertently pulled down a boulder on the south side of Sahale Peak. The boulder struck him and a woman. T he blow critically injured the 24-year-old woman. She was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The 25-year-old man suffered minor injuries.
