Marysville Woman Draws Max Sentence In Obituary Burglary



EVERETT, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Michelle Herrera is headed to prison for a maximum sentence  of two-and-a-half years for her part in carrying out obituary robberies. 

Police say the 33-year-old Marysville woman was part of a band of thieves who targeted family members of people whose funeral information appeared in obituaries. 

Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Janice Ellis handed down the sentence yesterday. 

Herrera admitted helping with a burglary and possessing and trafficking in stolen property. 

She has previous drug and assault convictions.
