Three Arrested, Charged Selling Heroin In Bellingham

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Three people have been busted on suspicion of selling heroin out of a boarding house on Alabama Street in Bellingham.

The arrests happened after a month of undercover purchases by the northwest regional drug task force.

Whatcom County Undersheriff Jeff Parks says the house in the 1800 block of Alabama Street sits across the street from an Active Children’s Day Care Center, and was the scene of four heroin overdose deaths in the last several years.

Parks says the suspects are not young heroin users...

Sixty-year-old Douglas Timberlake was arrested on drug delivery charges during a traffic stop last Friday.

Parks says Timberlake had about an ounce of heroin in his possession at the time of the arrest.

Two other suspects who allegedly delivered heroin to agents during the investigation were also taken to jail.

Fifty-five-year-old Lawrence Serry of Bellingham and was arrested during the traffic stop, and 56-year-old Susan Figaro of Burlington was arrested later on Friday.
