EVERETT, Wash. -- The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is accepting proposals for projects to benefit national forest lands. The North Resource Advisory Committee has received nearly $300,000 to use on the projects. Jon Vanderhayden with the committee says they accept all kinds of proposals but 50 percent of the funds must go to road or watershed restoration. Applications must be submitted by August 24 and are available at www.fs.usda.gov/mbs/.
