BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- A judge has set a trial date for the Bellingham woman accused of cyber stalking a popular 80's singer.

Janet Banasky will get a jury trial on October 29. Snohomish County Sheriff's Detective Lee Malkow says she linked Banasky to multiple twitter accounts used to send harassing messages to Richard Marx.

She says the stalker even claimed to be Marx's illegitimate child.



Malkow says she has seen an explosion in stalking cases over the internet.



Banasky has been charged with cyber stalking and first degree computer trespass.

A Whatcom County judge has also ordered Banasky to undergo a mental evaluation.
