Two Whatcom County residents were injured when a driver collided with their motorcycle on Chuckanut Drive last night.

State Patrol reports 25-year-old Stefan Kolbo of Bellingham and his passenger, 23-year-old Jessica Welter of Blaine, were riding a motorcycle south on Chuckanut near the Skagit County line when a car driven by 22-year-old Lisa Vaughn of Bellingham pulled away from a stop sign and collided with them.

Both were transported to the hospital in Bellingham. Vaughn wasn’t injured.

The State Patrol says charges are pending in the case.
