LYNDEN, Wash. -- Lynden Police responded to an attempted abduction of a 10-year-old female just before 4 p.m. Friday afternoon.

The victim was able to escape with minor injury.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20’s to early 30’s.

He was wearing a black T-shirt and white, brown, and black plaid shorts.

The incident took place near the intersection of 4th and Liberty Street in Lynden.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white full size extended cab pick-up with a tool box (possibly diamond plate) in the bed.

Police say the truck has a distinct gold-colored cross on the left side of the tailgate.

Anyone who knows this man is asked to call 9-1-1.
