LYNDEN, Wash. -- Lynden Police have received several tips about Friday's attempted kidnapping of a 10-year-old girl, but they're still looking for a suspect.
Police Chief Jack Foster says a scruffy tall white male in his late 20s to early 30s tried to pull the girl into his truck near the Lynden Library around 4 p.m.
He says the victim screamed and fought back and was able to get away, and then the man drove off.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white full-size pick-up truck a distinct gold colored cross on the tailgate.
Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call 9-1-1.
