Several Tips, No Arrest After Attempted Kidnapping Lynden

LYNDEN, Wash. -- Lynden Police have received several tips about Friday's attempted kidnapping of a 10-year-old girl, but they're still looking for a suspect.

Police Chief Jack Foster says a scruffy tall white male in his late 20s to early 30s tried to pull the girl into his truck near the Lynden Library around 4 p.m.

He says the victim screamed and fought back and was able to get away, and then the man drove off.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white full-size pick-up truck a distinct gold colored cross on the tailgate.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call 9-1-1.
