Fairhaven Bank Robbed Again, Cops Searching For Suspect

FAIRHAVEN, Wash. -- The Fairhaven Banner Bank robber strikes again.

Bellingham police are searching for the man who robbed the Banner Bank on 12th Street yesterday afternoon for the second time in as many months.

Lieutenant Rick Sucee says the suspect is believed to be the same man who robbed the bank on July 25, although no weapon was used this time.

Lt. Sucee spoke with KGMI as police were out searching for the robber yesterday.

Police found a black bike believed to be used by the robber on a trail about five blocks west of the bank.

The robber is described as a white male, about 5’8” to 5’10”, with long dark hair in a pony tail.

He was wearing a sky-blue jersey over a blue shirt with black jeans, and dark-colored tennis shoes with white soles. He may have a goatee and mustache.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call 911.
