Anacortes Crash Kills Motorcyclist

ANACORTES, Wash. -- A motorcyclist from Anacortes has died of injuries he sustained in an crash on Highway 20 near Anacortes last night.

The Washington State Patrol reports 23-year-old Michael McCurdy was riding behind another vehicle that suddenly slowed for a separate collision.

McCurdy struck that vehicle and was thrown from the bike.

A pick-up truck driven by 73-year-old Lee Anderson of Anacortes then hit McCurdy.

He was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he died early today.

The accident remains under investigation.
