OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Washington's Department of Transportation says traffic congestion is increasing gradually around the state's big cities as the economy recovers from the Great Recession.
Its latest report says traffic increased three-percent last year, but congestion was worse by 16 percent.
The department says a package of new traffic-control strategies called 'Moving Washington" is helping.
