BIRCH BAY, Wash. -- Whatcom County Sheriff’s Deputies busted a suspected drug house in Birch Bay on Tuesday.
Forty-seven-year-old William Berry and 31-year-old Charity Theophile were arrested on investigation of selling methamphetamine to undercover officers on multiple occasions from their home in the 8500 block of East Road.
Sheriff Bill Elfo says Berry was just released from jail on bail after being arrested earlier this year for delivering meth.
He says meth sales result in devastating effects on users who often resort to property crime to support their habit.
A search warrant at the home turned up about 1.5 ounces of meth and $700 in cash, as well as two stolen vehicles and additional suspected stolen property.
The investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.
